We mentioned playing earlier, because surely there is no pleasure without a bit of playfulness, so carry on your journey by visiting the children's playground. Les Structures Musicales await you there. For young people, and also not so young, these modern sculptures made from recycled material are born from Etienne Favre's fantasy and imagination. Once again this year, they were especially created for the Paris Jazz Festival. Look at them, do not hesitate to touch them - that is what they are there for! Activate the machinery, spin the wheels and pull on the levers. The "musical structures" are giant toys which will enable you to discover original sounds and melodies. |
Another 2008 novelty, still on the children playground: go on a trip with "Voyage au Pays des Sons" (trip to the land of sounds) with Marie Diallo. It is an Initiative journey to the rhythm(s) provided by the association Aïe Caramba. Look out for the departure times: everyday of the festival at 3, 4, and 5 pm your children will be invited to join a short musical parade thanks to which they will discover various sounds and rhythms. Songs, dances and party are the key words. By participating to this happy parade, everyone will be able to say he became a musician at least once in his life…
For our greatest pleasure, Pascal Neveu ("Un Piano à Portée de Main") is coming back with his piano, which he wished sedentary this year. It will then be placed on "the shore of the lake", every day of the festival, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pascal Neveu is synonymous of melodic improvisation in harmony with the public and with Nature. He qualifies himself this way: "The public feels that my music is created on the very instant he hears it, and that in a sort of way, that he participates to its creation by the quality of his listening".
Strolling about here and there in the park, you will not possibly "escape" the sound of the brass bands, who will make a joyful musical link between the walkers, the animations and the concerts, from 1:00 pm to 2:55 pm. They will all end their journey just below the Delta stage, before the beginning of the concerts.
| 3:00 pm will strike the holy hour of the first concert, followed by the second one at 4:30 pm. Jazz and Nature will once again be harmoniously united in the splendour of their diversity. Free your emotions! Let the music lull you! Let the artists bring you in their universe; they will all give the best of themselves. Happiness definitely lies in Jazz… |
