Work-groups for children from 4 year old, at 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 pm, at the children playground

For the time of a « Trip to the land of sounds », your child will be able to discover the musicians’ secret that will make him one of them. The children will gently be guided by the musical atmospheres which will bring them to play the rhythms that Marie Diallo will set in her young orchestra. Finally, with a happy musical background, everybody will stroll about, singing and dancing like at the Carnival.

This work-group consists in the discovering and awareness to the percussions and particularly to the « afro-Brazilians » percussions.
The listening, the corporeal awakening, singing and handling of instruments are here to serve the rhythm. The objective is for each child to find his place in the group, to learn to listen to each other, to respect the rules, to play in rhythm, to develop his sensitivity and more than that: have fun in music! 5 instrument families will be at the children’s disposal: claves, caxixi, reco-reco, cloche agogo and tambourine; accompaniment : surdo and steel-drum.

The « Voyage au Pays des Sons » is the result of 10 years of pedagogic work managed by Marie Diallo in schools, close to the children, in neighbourhood workshops, and also during birthday or family parties. Travels to Brazil, Trinidad and Africa, the experience of the stage and the street shows helped her mature her work and her approach of music.

Carnival is always very successful thanks to its happiness, its energy, its melting pot; Brazilian percussions but also Steel-drums (Trinidad) stay the ideal companions for bringing the children to the universe of happiness and making them have fun through music.
