"THE JAZZ BACKSTAGE"

"the tree of jazz" grows a little more again this year and, for this third year in a row, will feature a new ramification through the exhibition:

"THE JAZZ BACKSTAGE" .
A playful exhibition presented by Philippe Baudoin, which will invite you to discover the hidden parts of jazz.

Manne & Mince

Armstrong & Bigard

To be a bit more specific, we are not talking about any “dark side” but more about “behind-the-scene” side, the “backstage”…

It will present all the possible aspects of the musicians’ lives, apart, of course, from this magical moment of the performance. Everything that happens when the curtain is drawn…

In other words, we could use the title of this jazz fan’s movie, Woody Allen:
Everything you always wanted to know about jazz, but were afraid to ask!

It is a trip to meet the “off-stage” jazzman, to visit him at home, during one of his tours or his vacations, with a pinch of fantasy and humour.

The whole thing will be spiced up with a couple jazzistic peculiarities, in 300 unwonted documents. You will find photos, record covers, gags best-of, etc…
